Lab Created Diamonds – New Yorkskylabwp
Diamonds that are created or manufactured in a lab by scientists are termed as Lab-Grown Diamonds, basically, these diamonds are not mined hence they are artificially created which gives them a uniqueness!
Though the characteristics of these diamonds more or less are similar to natural diamonds & are optically identical. The only difference between man-made viz lab-grown diamonds & natural diamonds is only the process of how they are generated obtained.
Both the diamonds are available in the market, lab-grown diamonds are more in demand because of varied reasons which include easy availability of diamonds, cheap rates & finest finishing. Natural diamonds take years to form but lab-grown diamonds are created in the house within a week or 15 days.
It doesn’t take long to formulate lab-grown diamonds but it is as hard as Naturally created diamonds.
Well, the name for lab-grown diamonds may vary in the international market, lab-grown diamonds are termed by different names Different sources use different names to refer to lab-grown diamonds. For example, you might see lab-created diamonds, cultured diamonds, engineered diamonds, synthetic diamonds, and even man-made diamonds. If you see a stone with any of these names, just know you’re likely getting a diamond that’s been grown in a lab.
Lets quickly have review methods which are used to make Lab-Grown Diamonds, because before buying such precious stuff, it is crucial to understand how the diamonds are created.
Gold has varying levels of purity, such as 24 carats, 22 carats, 16 carats, etc wherein diamonds have uniform purity standards.
There are a few methods used to grow lab-grown diamonds. Typically, lab-grown diamonds start with a tiny lab-grown diamond, like a seed. The seeds are placed in a chamber called a plasma reactor (in the case of CVD synthesis) or a large mechanical press (if manufactured by HPHT). Then, depending on the technology used, some combination of heat, pressure and a carbon source are used to make the crystals grow, layer by layer.
Now since the diamonds are man-made, it’s in our hand to modify the sizes of diamonds. There are no bars or no limitations of creating-manufacturing diamonds. The longer they grow the bigger they get, but currently, the biggest lab-grown diamond ever made is 155 carats.
